THE FAMILY of a man who was found dead have paid tribute to a very proud dad and granddad.

Andrew Forrest's body was discovered in his Burnley home on Florence Street on March 19 after he had been missing for three days.

His daughter Nadia Forrest described the 49-year-old dad-of-two and grandad-of-two as loving and upbeat and who lived life to the full.

Ms Forrest, 29 said: "Andrew loved Burnley FC and followed the Clarets all his life.

"He loved socialising and adored his two grandchildren.

"He was a very proud granddad and dad-of-two.

"While he was loving and upbeat and lived life to the full."

Born and bred in Burnley, Mr Forrest worked as a plasterer for the best part of two decades.

Ms Forrest said: "He worked as a plasterer for a good 20 to 25 years and was a very good handyman.

"If any job needed doing, he could do it.

"Andrew was very well known in the community and his death has shocked a lot of people. "

Mr Forrest leaves behind daughter Nadia, son Aidan Forrest and two grandchildren Skyla-Rose Khan, three and Jordan James Forrest, four.

Mr Forrest's daughter was speaking after a 51-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder following the discovery of his body.

But despite the arrests, police say that the man’s death remains unexplained and it is unclear at this stage whether any criminal act has been committed.

They have both now been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Following Mr Forrest's death, the family are now organising a fundraiser and celebration of his life at the Angel Pub in Burnley on April 14 from 1pm onwards.
