Five things to do

Grenadier Guards parade, Friday, 11am-noon, in Uppermill village, free to attend. Saddleworth School music department hosting the Band of the Grenadier Guards. There will be two special performances. The full band will parade in the village at 11am followed by a short outdoor concert for the residents of Uppermill Park, weather permitting.

Brenda’s Got a Baby, Oldham Library , Greaves Street, Friday April 5 , 7pm, £5.

Brenda is 16 and pregnant, Amy is the first in her family to go to university. What could possibly go wrong? This brand-new verbatim play explores the struggles facing young, working class women. Oldham Library is easily accessible by car, bus and tram. The nearest car park is Southgate Street pay and display. Regular bus services operate from Manchester and outlying areas. Super Saturdays Creative Family Fun at Gallery Oldham, sessions run 1pm-3pm, free

Get along to artist- led craft activities, painting, drawing and creative fun for all the family on the first Saturday of the month. Drop in activities, no need to book. The next Super Saturday event is October 6, so this is the last opportunity before the autumn to participate.

Bullcote Park, Bullcote Lane play session, Monday, April 8, 1pm-3pm, free

Arts, crafts and games activities for children and families. Oldham Play Action Group (OPAG) have been commissioned by Royton, Crompton and Shaw District Team as part of their school holiday activity programme.

Children under the age of eight need to be accompanied by a parent or carer. No need to book just turn up.

Holiday fun at Gallery Oldham, Free family activities take place during all school holidays.

Activities run from 1pm- 4pm each day. Face painting and craft activities at each session.

Most suitable for ages four to 10 years.

Children must be accompanied by an adult for all family activities.
