FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a number of moorland fires across Oldham today.
The Fire Service was originally called just after 1.30pm to a fire in grassland area, in Den Lane, Uppermill.
They later had to deal with 'seats of fire' in Dobcross and Oldham.
Fire engines from Heywood and Chadderton attended and firefighters are used beaters and other specialist equipment to extinguish the fire.
Greater Manchester Police were also called to the scene to try and establish a cause.
At around 4.15pm, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that all the fires had been put out.
