Bury Street, Darwen
THIS view down Bury Street shows the soon to be demolished United Reformed Chapel as it stood in 1954.
At the bottom of the hill to the left is the Greenway pub, shown in this image from the Lancashire Telegraph's archives.
The cobbled streets have been resurfaced and the buildings on the right of the picture demolished to make way for Darwen's one-way traffic system.
