Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum! Check out the classic tale of Jack and his magical beanstalk brought to life using puppetry and your imagination. You’ll even be able to make your very own characters and beanstalks so that you can recreate the story and have fun at home too. Booking is essential.

Sunday (April 28), Learn to Ride (Alexandra Park Oldham)

If it’s been a while since you’ve ridden a bike, or maybe you’ve never had the chance to try, Learn to Ride is the course for you. Learn to Ride courses are led by qualified instructors who look to teach the very basics of cycling, offering support and guidance at your pace.

The course over two hours takes place in a safe, off-road environment and lasts around two hours, giving you plenty of time to hone your skills… if not, you can always come back as many times as it takes!

Start time: 1:30pm.

A walk across Crompton Moor, a diverse landscape and habitat for much flora and fauna, with panoramic views of the surrounding area. Crompton Moor has been designated a site of biological importance, providing habitat for a variety of wild creatures including red grouse, snipe, weasels and curlew. Part of the GM Walking Festival 2019. Distance: 2 miles approx. (medium). Meeting point: Brushes Clough car park off Buckstones Road. Nearest postcode is OL2 8LS.
