THE following cases have been dealt with at Tameside Magistrates' Court. AN application by Greater Manchester Police for the continued detention of £5,600 from Florica Dorot, aged 40, of Werneth Hall Road, Oldham under the Proceeds of Crime Act has been granted by Tameside Magistrates’ Court.

ADAM Wells, aged 22, of Lindsay Close, Moorside, failed to comply with a suspended sentence order imposed by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on February 14 by missing unpaid work appointments on March 4 and March 11. The order has now been varied to a term of 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months. He must also carry out 14 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and pay £60 costs.

LEE Christopher Denson, aged 30, of Denton Lane, Chadderton, jointly with a anothe3r man stole cash from a man in Birstol and damaged walls of a detention cell of the Avon and Somerset police. Denson has been electronically tagged and placed under three months’ curfew ending on July 29 during which time he must at home between 8pm and 6am daily. He must also pay £85 costs and £85 to victim services.

TAJUL Islam, aged 34, of Featherstall Road North, Oldham, stole telephones worth £180 from B&Q, a DVD player worth £59 from Tesco, and failed to comply with a supervision order following release from jail by missing planned appointments on February 6, February 11 and March 25. He was jailed for 14 days and ordered to pay a total of £239 compensation.

CARMEN Jane Buckley, aged 45, of Yorkdale, Clarksfield, failed to notify the Department of Work and Pensions of a change of circumstances which he knew would affect his entitlement to a carer’s allowance, namely that she was working and earning at above the permitted limits for a claim to that type of benefit. She was placed under curfew with electronic tagging for eight weeks, ending on June 26, during which time she must be at home daily between 8pam and 7am. Buckley was also ordered to pay £85 into victim services and £85 costs.

GARY Steven Weng, aged 32, of Beechfield Close, Springhead, failed to provide specimen of breath for analysis when suspected of drink driving. He was fined £288 and ordered to pay £85 and £30 into victim services. He was also banned from driving for 14 months.

A warrant for the arrest of Kelly Leigh McLeod, aged 29, of Oddfellows Hall Apartments, Robson Street, Oldham, has been issued on charges of committing fraud by using a stolen debit card in Sainsbury’s at Oldham by attempting to buy goods worth £63.29, attempting to buy £20 worth of phone credit from O2, and theft of a handbag and contents worth £30 from a woman.

CALLUM Anthony Grimes, aged 23, of Ashton Road, Oldham, failed to comply with a suspended sentence order made by Oldham Magistrates’ Court on July 27, 2016 by being absent from his place of curfew for a full curfew period on September 19, 2016 during which time his tag was tampered with. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £60 costs.

CLARE Shepley, aged 47, of Chelbourne Drive, Oldham, failed to comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on June 7, 2018. She was ordered to pay costs of £60 and ordered undergo drug rehabilitation treatment.

DAVID Devine, aged 38, of Buckstones Road, Shaw, was guilty of drink driving in Milnrow Road, Oldham. He was fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 and £30 to victim services. Devine was also banned from driving for 12 months.

DAVID Peter Southward, aged 57, of Abbey Hills Road, Oldham, failed to comply with notification requirements under the Sexual Offences Act 2003. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 into victim services.

SAMEDI Stephinson-Kirkbride, aged 20, of New Inn Farm, Thurston Clough Road, Scouthead, was guilty of drink driving in Chew Valley Road, on November 18, 2018. He was fined £240 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 to victim services.

DHARMESH Agravat, aged 36, of Oxford Street, Oldham, failed to comply with notification requirements under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 on January 2 and on or before January 14. He was fined £288 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 into victim services.
