THE funeral service for Oldham firefighter Rick Casey will take place on Friday (May 17) at Oldham Parish Church.
Rick, aged 49, passed away on May 1 after losing his brave battle with a rare form of cancer.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said on its website: "We want to thank all those people who helped Rick and his family by supporting a number of fundraising activities over the past months.
The service takes place at the church in Rock Street, starting at 1.30pm and members of the public are invited to attend. The service will be followed by a private committal at Oldham Crematorium.
There will be family flowers only and donations can be made to Cancer Research UK and The Fire Fighters Charity via POGSON & ARMITAGE LTD. Ref Rick Casey.
