PREMIER charity fundraisers Saddleworth Round Table are hoping for a record turn out for this Saturday’s (May 18 May) Band in a Barn, in the idyllic setting at Doctor House Farm, Doctor Lane, Scouthead.

John Arthurs, aged 29, of Uppermill, this year’s event lead said: "We’re so excited to be holding another Band in a Barn and this year is shaping up to be the biggest one to date.

“Our team has curated a fantastic array of local bands and musicians, including a headline act from Professor Fonque and the All-stars plus DJ sets from local touring act, The Howling Rhythm.”

The barn also accommodates a well-stocked chilled bar with prosecco, beer and ales from Donkeystone Brewery, Alex of Saddleworth Distillery will be on hand to serve saddleworth s finest Gin & Tonics.

Street food is also available including a wood fired Pizza oven serving delicious pizzas.

Andrew Rothwell, aged 35, this year’s Saddleworth Round Table chairman, said: “ Anyone who has attended this event in previous years will tell you this is a fantastic and quirky event with the rustic ideal of listening to amazing live music in a busy barn, potentially dancing next to herd of cows.

“Last year’s event raised more than£4,500 for local worthy causes including Oldham Foodbank, RSPCA, Saddleworth Youth rangers and the Saddleworth Olympics.

“Please show your support by coming along on Saturday, ” he added.
