MAY 17: St Thomas’ Church Hall, Northgate Lane, Moorside, STYLE Clothes Show, 7pm for prompt start at 7.30pm. Come along and buy high street named fashion at very low prices. MAY 18: Mount Pleasant Mission, Lees Road, Oldham, coffee morning and afternoon tea for Christian Aid, 11am to 2pm. Plant stalls, and bring and buy sale. Free to attend. Pop in and have some refreshment and a chat.

MAY 21: St James Parish Hall, Thornham Lane, Thornham, Royton Townswomen’s Guild Monthly Meeting, 7.30pm to 9.30pm, guest speaker Paul Tyler from Daisy Nook Garden Centre to demonstrate how to fill baskets and containers. £2 for members, £3 for visitors.

MAY 21: It’s Not Rocket Science general knowledge quiz at Springhead Liberal Club, 8.30pm,£3 per person, including raffle and stand up bingo, in aid of Parkinson’s and Oldham Branch of the MS Society.

MAY 22: Saddleworth Museum, High Street, Uppermill. 7.30pm, Saddleworth Historical Society together with The Huddersfield Canal Society have an Illustrated presentation by Trevor Ellis entitled “The Standedge Tunnels”. All welcome. Historical Society members free but a charge on the evening to non-members of £3. Refreshments available.

JUNE 7: St Edward's Parish Church Hall, Lees, Woman of Oldham, Cheese & Wine/Silent Auction, 7.30pm, £10 per person, includes supper and glass of wine. Charity for 2019 is Inspire Women, a local non-profit organisation encouraging women to have a voice.
