A BIRD lover has claimed two dozen pigeons have been “left to die” after netting was put up beneath a Swindon railway bridge.
The netting has been fixed to Transfer Bridges, a popular site for nesting pigeons.
A Gorse Hill woman, 35, who asked not to be named, told the Advertiser: “I know some people complain about the pigeons, but these birds are going to be left to die.
“They’ve got no food, no water and no means of escape.
“They’ve been left to die. I think it’s disgusting.”
Video footage shows several pigeons struggling against the netting.
