AN OVERTURNED car closed the Kearsley Spur for a time on Thursday evening.
From around 7.40pm the northbound carriageway from junction two of the M61 onto the A666 St Peter’s Way was blocked to traffic while emergency services dealt with the crash.
Firefighters attended the scene of the crash but did not need to free the driver as they had already got out of the vehicle.
The ambulance service took one person to hospital following the crash.
North West Ambulance Service sent one ambulance and a rapid response vehicle to the scene of the crash.
Police managed the road closure.
