INDIVIDUALS, artists, groups, charities and business start-ups with an idea to benefit the Mossley community are being invited to share it at the next Mossley SOUP event.

Mossley SOUP aims to bring people together to promote, fundraise and support local projects that benefit the people of Mossley.

The next Mossley SOUP evening is planned for Thursday, July 4 at Emmaus Mossley and the organisers are searching for four project ideas to share on the night.

Project ideas can be about anything - from youth related, sports or environmental - to something creative or a new business start-up.

The only stipulation is that the project idea must be of benefit to the Mossley community.

At Mossley SOUP events, attendees donate £5 in return for food, entertainment, the opportunity to hear four project presentations, a vote and a contribution to the winner’s pot.

Each presenter has four minutes to share their idea and answer four questions from the audience. The project presenter to secure the most votes goes home with all of the money raised at the door to carry out their project.

Previous Mossley SOUP dinners have raised winner’s pots of between £545 and £1,720 but all of the projects presented have benefited in some way. This includes increased public awareness, new volunteers, donations of materials and other financial support.

To be in with a chance of presenting your idea at the next Mossley SOUP dinner you will need to complete a short project proposal before Thursday, June 6. To submit a proposal online visit http://bit.ly/MossleySOUPapply

Mossley SOUP is organised by local resident volunteers with support from Mossley Town Council, The Mayor of Mossley and Emmaus Mossley. For more information and for details of future SOUP events head to http://bit.ly/MossleySOUP.
