THE latest developments in the project to revamp Blackbird Leys will be presented at an event tomorrow night.
Architects designing the plans that will see 250 new homes built on the estate will feedback on what the public have told them at consultation sessions over the past three months.
It comes before the first designs for what the revamp may look like are revealed at the Leys Festival later this month.
Oxford City Council and Catalyst Housing have been asking Blackbird Leys residents for their views on the development which will also include new shops, community and public spaces.
Letters were sent to more than 5,000 homes in Blackbird Leys, and various events have been held, encouraging people to give their views.
Linda Smith, deputy leader of Oxford City Council, said: “This project will build much-needed social housing, create new community facilities and help shape the future of Blackbird Leys, so it’s been really important that local residents have their say on what it should look and feel like.
“I’m delighted that so many Blackbird Leys residents have given up their time to do just that, and I’m looking forward to seeing how architects JTP have taken that invaluable information on board to shape their designs.”
The event starts at 5pm in the Jack Argent Room of the community centre.
