Residents evacuated from supported living flats in Failsworth
RESIDENTS in a complex of supported living flats in Failsworth were evacuated last night when fire engulfed one of the homes.
Firefighters from Hollins and Chadderton tackled the blaze at Aldred Street at 9.30pm last night (Monday, June 17).
It was confined to the flat, but occupants of the four other apartments had to leave their homes and have had to be rehoused.
It is understood the occupant of the flat involved in the fire left the scene. Police are investigating.
