Bury face a tough Championship test in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The Shakers have been handed a trip to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday.
The game will be played in the week commencing August 12.
The League Cup draw came on the day the fixtures for the new League One season were also announced
