RYAN Lowe has taken another member of his Bury backroom staff to Plymouth.

Head of fitness and conditioning John Lucas has joined performance analyst Jimmy Dickinson in moving to Home Park in recent days.

Assistant manager Steven Schumacher was named as Argyle number two on the day Lowe was appointed as the new boss of the League Two club having guided the stricken Shakers back to League One at the first attempt despite the club's financial problems.

"Really pleased to have joined @Only1Argyle," Lucas posted on his Twitter account confirming the news.

"Looking forward to pre-season and getting working with the players."

Lucas returned to his boyhood club last summer under Lowe having been with the club for the 2014/15 promotion season, leaving first time around to take up a post as a sports rehabilitation lecturer at the University of Bolton.

During his time in football he has also been with Rochdale and Barnsley while his other work includes being part of the teams supporting Basketball England and GB Taekwondo over in South Korea.

Dickinson's move had been confirmed prior to that with the analyst leaving a club that has been a big part of his life having supported the Shakers since the age of four.

"Onto a new challenge after five brilliant years at Bury," he said.

"Created amazing memories and met so many great people.

"I've loved every second of working for my childhood club. I’m buzzing to be moving to Plymouth with the gaffer and Schuey.

"I can’t wait to get started at Argyle now."
