A MAN has been charged by police over an assault at a tram stop.
Stephen Taylor, of Oldham Road, Failsworth, has been charged with causing actual bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon.
The 38-year-old was due to appear at Tameside Magistrates’ Court today.
The charges come after police were called to reports of two men fighting close to Hollinwood Metrolink station at around 5.35pm on Thursday, July 11.
Following the incident, a 36-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious facial and eye injuries.
