Bury youngster Joe Adams has left the club and joined Brentford for an undisclosed fee.
The 18-year-old made six first-team appearances for the Gigg Lane club having been with the Shakers since the age of seven.
Adams signed a professional contract last December and was a key part of the youth team that reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup Youth Cup last season – a run ended by Liverpool at Gigg Lane.
The Wales youth international will initially link up with the Championship club’s B team and has signed a three-year deal at Griffin Park.
"We are delighted with the addition of Joe to the squad, and we wish him well during his time with us,” said Brentford B’s technical lead Allan Steele.
“Joe is an exciting attacking player who stands out both in and out of possession.
"Joe showed a real desire to join the club and, with his hard work and effort, we look forward to helping him achieve his potential."
