FIREFIGHTERS were called to a home in Glodwick when a group of children ran into a woman's home and let of "fart gas".
A crew from Oldham fire station was called to the terraced home in Kingsbridge Road at 8.40pm on Sunday evening after the middle-aged woman who had been cooking in the kitchen raised the alarm.
Red watch manager Phil Courtnell said: "She thought the gas was something more serious when it caught the back of her throat. We went there with breathing apparatus, but the woman was outside when we arrived.
"You can imagine the amusement it caused in the fire service control room."
