JULY 25: The Scouthead and Austerlands Community Group is staging its annual fun day at Dawson’s Field, Huddersfield Road, from 11 am until 3 pm. Entrance is free.
JULY 26: Greenacres Congregational Church, Galland Street, off Greenacres Road, Zumba and Pilates class (30 minutes each), every week from 10am to 11am. £4.50 per person.
JULY 26: Musician Alan Becks brings his Rock and Roll Tribute to Milan Bar, Elliott Street. Show starts at 7.3pm with money raised donated to various breast cancer charities. Tickets £35.
JULY 27: Oldham Coliseum Theatre will host a powerful verbatim theatre piece exploring the history of the LGBTQ+ rights movement. Riot Act, written and performed by Alexis Gregory, will be shown from 2.30-4.30pm. Tickets cost £8 and are available to buy at www.coliseum.org.uk.
JULY 28: The Friends of Dogford Park Committee have arranged a Summer Family Fun Day to take place at the Royton park. Attendees can enjoy a tombola, raffle or a range of other activities. Races and challenges will be arranged for children.
AUGUST 3: St Mark’s Church, Milne Street, Chadderton, Afternoon Tea, 2.30pm to 4.30pm, in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
AUGUST 10: The Oldham branch of the MS Society will be holding a garden party. The event will run from 2-4pm at the Pavilion, Garden Suburbs, Green Lane. Entry is £3 and includes afternoon strawberry tea, various stalls, a raffle and a tombola.
AUGUST 17: St James Thornham Parish Hall, Thornham Lane, Royton Townswomen’s Guild Coffee Morning & Bring and Buy, 10am to noon, £1 admission, refreshments on sale. Proceeds to Guild’s chosen charity.
AUGUST 20: St James Thornham Parish Hall, Thornham Lane, Royton Townswomen’s Guild monthly meeting, 7.30pm to 9.30pm. £2 for members, £3 for visitors. Guest speaker Mrs Sue Holden speaking about Hetty’s Ology.
SEPTEMBER 14: Delph & Dobcross Cricket Club, Neil Diamond tribute, Dave Radstock performing live singing all your favourites. Free entry and everyone welcome, 8pm onwards.
