THE following cases have been dealt with by Tameside Magistrates’ Court,

July 22

ALAN Taylor, aged 41, of Oswald Street, Shaw, failed to comply with a community order made by Oldham Magistrates’ Court on august 3, 2015 by interfering with his electronic curfew monitoring equipment on September 14 and 20, 2015 and failed to attend an office visit on November 6, 2015. Taylor was dealt with for his original offence of unlawful possession of a knife in a public place. He has been placed under curfew until August 4 and until then must be at home between 10pm and 6am daily. He must also undergo drug rehabilitation treatment and pay £60 costs.

IAN Hemsley, aged 30, of Broadhill Crescent, Oldham failed to comply with a community order made by Stockport Magistrates’ Court on November 26, 2018 by missing unpaid work on June 2 and 6. He must now carry out 12 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and pay £60 costs.

LEE Ellis, aged 40, of Fifield Close, Oldham, was found guilty in his absence of going equipped for burglary with Stanley knives, screwdrivers, pliers and Allen keys, possession of amphetamines and cannabis. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

July 23

ASHLEY Patrick Dissington, aged 32, of Neston Close, Shaw, failed to comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on February 26, by failing to attend unpaid work on April 27 and June 22 and to maintain contact with his responsible. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Al Amin, aged 19, of Lee Street, Oldham, failed to comply with a suspended sentence order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on September 11, 2018, by missing unpaid work on April 15 and failed to attend a planned RAR day on May 8. His original offence was dangerous driving in Huddersfield Road, Oldham, on September 11, 2018. The sentence of 16 weeks prison suspended for 12 months has now been imposed. The overall length of the sentence is now 12 weeks.

MICHAEL Mallabone, aged 56, of New Earth Street, Oldham, failed to comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ court on May 3 by breaching his curfew times on seven occasions. He was fined £50 and ordered to pay £60 costs.

CHRISTOPHER William Melia, aged 36, of Ripponden Road, Oldham, failed to comply with a community order made by Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on March 29 by missing unpaid work appointments on June 15 and May 18. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £60 costs.

MARIUS Vasile Mihai, aged 20, of Meldrum Street, Oldham, failed to comply with a suspended sentence order made by Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on December 10, 2018 by failing to report for unpaid work on March 19 and May 1. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

WILLIAM O'Connor, aged 48, of Walters Drive, The Green, Fitton Hill, failed to comply with a suspended sentence order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court by tampering with the home monitoring unit following an electronic monitoring order on June 4. The order will continue and he has been fined £50.

NATALIE Credentino, aged 38, of Cornwall Street, Oldham, has been found guilty of failing to provide a specimen of breath when suspected of drink driving on March 9. She must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and must pay £660 costs and £85 into victim services. She has also been banned from driving for 24 months.

JOSEPH Thomas Snape, aged 32, of Ashworth Court, Shaw, stole two handbags worth £40 and £48 from TKMax at Rochdale on May 30. He also entered Boots in Oldham town centre on July 6, and 7, stealing fragrances when prohibited from doing so by a criminal behaviour order. He also failed to comply with supervision requirements following release from prison on May 29. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

ALI Akbar Shah, aged 20, of Frederick Street, Coppice, made off without payment with £40.06 worth of petrol on January 13, a further £86.41 on January 14, a further 80pence worth from Sainsbury’s on January 20, and £43.07 from the same outlet on January 22, a further £42.09 on January 16, £36.73 from Sainsbury’s on January 24, £53.14 on January 18, and drove a car with no licence or no insurance. He was ordered to pay £300 compensation and was placed under curfew with electronic monitoring until September 18. Until then he must be at home between 7pm and 7am daily. He was banned from driving until he passes his test.
