A WEATHER warning for rain has been issued for Oldham on Friday and Saturday.
The Met Office's yellow warning runs from midnight on Friday to midnight on Sunday.
A Met Office spokesman said a band of heavy rain is expected to be followed by heavy showers or thunderstorms, and has the potential to bring disruption.
The spokesman said: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
"There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life.
"Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.
"Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures."
Temperatures are set to creep up to 22C on Friday, slightly higher than today's maximum predicted temperature of 18C.
