AUGUST 17: Delph Horticultural and Craft Society is hosting its 91st annual show at the Delph Methodist Church Hall, Gartside Street, with doors open for viewing from 3pm.

AUGUST 20: Springhead Liberal Club, It's not Rocket Science General Knowledge Quiz, 8.30pm £3 per person including raffle and stand-up bingo in aid of Francis House Children's Hospice Regards Stewart Grace Secretary Oldham Branch MS Society.

AUGUST 21: Springhead Liberal Club, Lunch at the Libs, noon to 2pm, £3.75 for choice of hot food, cakes, tea or coffee. Raffle and stand-up bingo, in aid of Dr Kershaw's Hospice and Oldham Branch of the MS Society.

SEPTEMBER 10: Friezland Church Hall, Greenfield, Saddleworth Floral Art Society, 7.30pm, floral demonstration by Anne Houghton of Wirral, Cheshire. Her title is Pot Luck. All welcome. Visitors £6, including refreshments.

SEPTEMBER 11: Saddleworth Historical Society, addleworth Museum, High Street, Uppermill, 7.30pm, an illustrated presentation by Dr Gervaise Phillips entitled "The American Civil War, Lancashire & the Cotton Famine". All welcome. Members free, but a charge on the evening of £3 to non-members of the Historical Society. Refreshments available.

SEPTEMBER 14: Delph & Dobcross Cricket Club, Neil Diamond tribute, Dave Radstock performing live singing all your favourites. Free entry and everyone welcome, 8pm onwards.
