THOUSANDS of pounds worth of equipment has been stolen from the council depot at Alexandra Park in Oldham.
The break-in took place on Tuesday, August 6, when two trailers, a quad bike, a ride-on lawnmower and two front deck mowers were stolen.
Cllr Ateeque Ur Rehman, cabinet member for neighbourhoods services, said: "We are extremely disappointed about the theft and are working with the police on the matter.
“This is a theft from the residents of Oldham as much as it is the council, as it has a direct impact on the work our teams carry out across the borough to keep it looking its best.
“I urge anyone with any information to come forward so that we can recover the machinery.”
Anyone with information on the stolen machinery is asked to contact the police on 101.
