A MAN has been arrested after a robbery in which a man was hit over the head with a baseball bat in Oldham.
Shortly after 10.50pm on Saturday, November 3, 2018, a man was approached by three men on Leamington Street before he was hit across the head with a baseball bat. The offenders made off with the victim's car, a Ford Fiesta ST.
The victim, a 58-year-old man, suffered a serious head injury and required hospital treatment.
Officers arrested a 48-year-old man today (Thursday, August 15) on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery.
He remains in custody for questioning.
Detective Constable Matthew Adshead, of GMP’s Oldham district, said: “I would like to thank everyone who has come forward to police with information following our most recent appeal.
“This morning, we have made an arrest but our enquiries are very much ongoing.
