THE following case have been dealt with by Tameside Magistrates’ Court.

ALAN Wild, aged 47, of Falkirk Street, Oldham, attempted to break-in to Chadderton Town Hall with intent to steal. A warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to appear on August 7.

SOPHIE Pountley, aged 23, of Sharples Hall Street, Oldham, failed to secure the transfer of household waste to an authorised person. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £100 costs and £30 to victim services.

TWO Apples Cafe Ltd, of Rochdale Road, Oldham, failed to prevent a person in the premises from smoking. It was fined £1,800 and ordered to pay £550 costs and £170 to victim services.

KATIE Williams, aged 29, of Ryeburn Street, Oldham, on March 13, 26, and April 5 failed to secure the transfer of household waste to an authorised person. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £380 costs and £20 to victim services.

ANDREW John Davies, aged 34, of Thompson Lane, Chadderton, resisted a police constable. He was fined £80, ordered to pay compensation of £80, costs of £85 and £90 into victim services and ordered to undergo alcohol dependency treatment.

LISA Walsh, aged 32, of Hathershaw Lane, Oldham, stole two bottles of gin worth £40 from Aldi in Ashton. She was given conditional discharge for two years, and ordered to pay £20 compensation, £20 to victim service sand £85 costs.

August 9.

KANE Alexander Bennett, aged 31, of Afghan Street, Oldham, caused £20 worth of damage to a car at Oldham, and drove without due care. He was given a conditional discharge for two years and ordered to pay £300 costs and £20 to victim services.

KIAN Wood, aged 18, of Rosemary Road, Oldham, behaved in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace at Oldham on August 8. He was bound over to keep the peace in the sum of £100 for 12 months.

HADIR Ali, aged 24, of Olivia Terrace, Coppice, failed to comply with a community order made by Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on September 27, 2018 by failing to attend an office visit on July 1, and an unpaid work appointment on July 9. He was ordered to undergo rehabilitation activity for three days and continue his unpaid work requirement. He must also pay £60 costs.

BENJAMIN Olubumni Joseph, aged 26, of Hollins Road, failed to comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on June 14 by failing to attend office appointments on June 24 and July 1. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

LEE Merrick, aged 40, of Hillside Avenue, Royton, was in charge of a dangerously out of control dog, namely a Jack Russell, which injured a man. Magistrates order that the dog be destroyed unless an appeal is lodged within 21 days. Merrick must undertake 80 hours of unpaid work and pay £500 compensation. He was also disqualified from keeping a dog for 10 years.

NIALL Bowskill, aged 23, of Balfour Street, Clarksfield, failed to comply with a community order made by Oldham Magistrates’ Court on August 25, 2016 by failing to attend planned appointments on April 23 and 30. His original offences were the assualt of a woman by beating, causing £50 worth of damage to a man’s car on August 25, 2016, causing £200 worth of damage to a woman’s car, on the same day caused £100 of damage to another woman’s car, and caused £120 worth a damage to a van. He was given a 10-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £60 costs.
