OXFORD MAGISTRATES’

LEE PEACOCK, 25, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing four bottles of alcohol worth £83 from Tesco at Oxford Retail Park on June 26. Also admitted stealing £80 worth of alcohol from Tesco on Cowley Road on July 31, and admitted failing to surrender to custody at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on July 10. Given a community order to comply with education, training and employment activity for 10 days, as well as drug rehabilitation and rehabilitation activity. Ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge.

DEREK SPRINGETT, 51, of Sinodun Road in Didcot, admitted assault by beating in Sinodun Road on July 20. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs.

AARON TASKER, 39, of Lansdown Road in Faringdon, admitted assault by beating on July 20 and July 22. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge.

MUHAMMAD MALIK, 36, of Bullingdon Road in Oxford, admitted speeding on the A34 southbound near Wytham on November 15. Found to be doing 72mph on the 50mph stretch of road. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Three points on licence.

AKIF MIR, 36, of Ock Street in Abingdon, admitted speeding over 30mph on the A415 in Culham on May 13. Fined £500 and ordered to pay £50 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Six points added to driving licence.

KAREEM SHEHAB, 26, of Temple Street in Oxford, convicted of driving without due care and attention on the Wheatley Road in Islip on January 9. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £40 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Six points added to driving licence.

ROMULUS MARKOVITS, 35, of Brambling Way in Oxford, admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath at Abingdon Police Station on April 6. Fined £296 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge, plus £300 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 16 months.

STACEY BOLTON, 31, of Cheneys Piece in Wallingford, admitted drink-driving on Main Road in Appleford on May 26. Found to have 137mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, the legal limit being 80mg. Fined £100 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 16 months.

PHILIP KNOWLES, 55, of no fixed abode admitted breach of a criminal behaviour order after being abusive, disorderly and intimidatory on July 22 in Abbey Meadow, Abingdon, when prohibited from doing so. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge.

MADELEINE LUBIN-SHANNON, 20, of Hampden Close in Chalgrove, admitted drink-driving on July 26 on Barns Road in Cowley. Found to have 49mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £161 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge, plus £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

EMMA MITCHENER, 43, of Corn Street in Witney admitted drink-driving on February 28 on the A415 in Standlake. Found to have 165mcg of alcohol in 100ml of blood. Fined £120 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 18 months.

SHAUN ALFORD, 37, of no fixed abode, admitted stealing a bracelet to the value of £49 from TT Jewellers, Market Place, Abingdon, on June 10. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and must pay compensation of £49, a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £85.

CARL JUNIOR WEBSTER, 25, of Croxford Gardens, Kidlington, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place at New Road, Oxford, on July 20. He was fined £100 and must pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85.

DANIEL WOOD, 29, of People’s Place, Banbury, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis when requested on July 7 in Banbury. He was made subject to a community order to include 80 hours of unpaid work and must pay a victim surcharge of £90 and court costs of £85 and he was disqualified from driving for 17 months.

WAYNE BRAIN, 44, of Albion Street, Chipping Norton, admitted stealing a boxed Atwell turkey to the value of £40 from Co-op, Chipping Norton on December 19, as well as 11 handbags, three Lego sets, 11 purses and three pillow cases to the value of £495 from Beales, Chipping Norton, on December 19. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and must pay compensation of £20, a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £42.50.

ELEANOR MCMANUS, 42, of Albion Street, Chipping Norton, admitted stealing a boxed Atwell turkey to the value of £40 from Co Op, Chipping Norton on December 19, as well as 11 handbags, three Lego sets, 11 purses and three pillow cases to the value of £495 from Beales, Chipping Norton, on December 19. She was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and must pay compensation of £20, a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £42.50.

WILLIAM GAUNT, 27, of Woodstock Road, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend unpaid work on February 26 and May 21. He was fined £75 and must pay court costs of £30.

LEE REHMAN, 36, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted stealing alcohol to the value of £48 from Tesco, Cowley Road, on April 6 and Kraken dark rum to the value of £48 from Sainsbury’s, Westgate, on April 8, four bottles of Bloom Gin to the value of £100 from Co Op, London Road, on May 17 and stealing steaks and alcohol to the value of £80 from Tesco, Cowley Road, on April 6. He also admitted failing to surrender to custody and breaching a previously imposed suspended sentence and further counts of stealing goods to the value of £126 from Boots, Oxford, on June 1, goods to the value of £60 from Boots, Cowley Road, on June 10 and goods to the value of £140 from Co Op, Cornmarket Street, on May 28. He was jailed for a total of six months and must pay compensation totalling £150.

SAMUEL MATTHEWS, 28, of Kingside Grove, Wantage, admitted driving while disqualified at Nursery End and Faringdon Road, Stanford in the Vale on June 8 and using a vehicle without third party insurance. He was made subject to a community order to include an overnight curfew for six weeks and he must pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85 and he was disqualified from driving for nine months.

ANDRE BUTLER, 48, of The Magnolias, Banbury, admitted assaulting a man in Banbury on June 16. He was made subject to a community order to include alcohol treatment requirement for nine months and rehabilitation activity requirement for 10 days and he must pay a victim surcharge of £85.
