Forever Bury are inviting Shakers supporters to a meeting at the Town Hall tonight.

The fans’ group will ask those in attendance a series of questions regarding possible next steps for the club after their expulsion from the Football League.

Supporters can ask questions of the Forever Bury board and then will asked to vote on proposals that the group will be able to act on going forwards.

The meeting starts at 6.30pm.

Forever Bury yesterday had representation at Bury North MP James Frith’s ‘rescue board’ meeting that also included Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham, Ivan Lewis MP and council representatives.

They agreed to set a September 20 deadline to have a proposal in place to put to the Football League that would see The Shakers in League Two under new ownership next season.
