A MAN has been arrested after a property was set on fire while a family was inside.
A joint investigation has been launched following the house fire in Bordale Avenue, Moston, on Thursday night.
Police say they are treating the blaze as arson.
They have arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
Emergency services were called to the incident shortly before 8pm last Thursday and the fire was extinguished.
The family, a mother, father and their children, managed to flee minutes before the house was engulfed in flames. No one was injured.
The investigation is being by Greater Manchester Police and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers are continuing to appeal for anyone with any information to come forward.
