A VOYEUR set up a covert camera in the bathroom of his home when a young woman came to stay.

Blackburn magistrates heard the woman was sitting on the loo when she noticed a hole in the pocket of a dressing gown hanging on the back of the door.

When she discovered the device she took it to a friends house and played it through her computer which showed Jeffrey Stanley Seel setting up the spy camera and footage of her using the bathroom.

Seel, 64, of Redwood Drive, Longridge, pleaded guilty to voyeurism and was committed on bail to Preston Crown Court for sentence on November 4.

Glen Anderton, prosecuting, said Seel had been convicted of an identical offence 11 years ago.

He said the device which had been taped into the dressing gown pocket had also been coloured black so it was less visible.

Mr Anderton said in interview Seel said he had bought the device at around the time of the earlier offence.

When the young woman came to stay it "rekindled the urges."

"He said if he had been successful he would have watched the recordings for his own sexual gratification," said Mr Anderton.

"He accepted he had a problem."
