THE following cases have been dealt with by Tameside Magistrates' Court.

KIMBERLEY Bernadette Nuttall, aged 37, of Thornby Avenue, Oldham, failed to comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on August 12 by failing to comply with the requirements of her curfew in that the electronic monitoring of her order has been interfered with the removal of a personal identification device from around her ankle on August 26, 2019. Her original offence was failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis on September 2, 2018. She was given a community order placing her under curfew until December 2 and until then she must be at home from 8pm to 7am daily.

An application from Greater Manchester Police for the continued detention of £2,000 seized cash from Benjamin Ellis, aged 28, of Pendragon Place, Failsworth, under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 has been granted.

An application from Greater Manchester Police for the continued detention of £1,000 seized cash from Lewis O'Connor, aged 26, of Oldham Road, Oldham, has been granted.

JAMES Robert Cormode, aged 33, assaulted a woman by beating her on June 14. On that date he also assaulted a police constable. He was given a community order and must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and pay £85 costs and a total of £150 compensation. He was also given a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim, directly or indirectly, until October 7, 2020.

ANDREW David Mayall, aged 45, of Oswald street, Shaw, stole £70 from Morrisons at Oldham and was found in possession of a three-inch long craft knife on June 8. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

VASILE Paun, aged 38, of Villa Road, Oldham, failed to comply with a community order made by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on June 17 by failing to attend unpaid work appointments on July 13 and 27. He was ordered to carry out 10 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and to pay £60 costs.

DANIEL James Birch, aged 29, of Acre Lane, Oldham, stole a jacket of unknown value from a man on July 23, 2018 and £10 cash from another man on the same date. On January 20, 2019, he took £30 of fuel without paying drove while disqualified, with no insurance and took a car without the owner’s consent. He was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and to pay a total of £550.01 compensation.

FARAZ Sehgal, aged 37, of Frederick Street, Oldham, was the registered owner of a vehicle which did not meet insurance requirements. He was fined £64 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 to victim services.

MATTHEW David Ankers, aged 21, of Ashton Road West, Failsworth, assaulted a police constable on June 6. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

LYLE Stewart Moe, aged 24, of Whitebank Road, Limeside, damaged a rear cage area of a police van and was guilty of racially aggravated threatening behaviour. He was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £150 compensation and £150 costs.

CEZAR Ion, aged 30, of Schofield Street, Oldham, drove while disqualified and with not insurance in Schofield Street on October 12. He must undertake 240 of unpaid work in the next 12 months and pay £85 costs and £09 to victim services. He was banned from driving for 12 months.

JASON Lee Mellor, aged 29, care of Impact Church Night Shelter, Manchester Road, Oldham, attended an address in Newmarket Road, Ashton when prohibited from doing so by a restraining order imposed by Tameside Magistrates’ Court on September 13. He was given an 18-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £85 costs and £21 to victim services.
