CINEWORLD Warrington has announced its opening date which will be in time for the new Star Wars film.

The 13-screen cinema will open to the public on Wednesday, December 11, as part of the £142.5 million Time Square development.

Cineworld Warrington will also include a 'Superscreen' which combines multidimensional sound powered by Dolby Atmos speakers with laser projection on a huge screen.

Sonia Trayford, Cineworld Warrington’s general manager, said: “We are looking forward to opening our doors to movie fans on Wednesday, December 11.

"We are pleased to bring Superscreen to Warrington and provide the most immersive cinema experience to the community.”

The opening will be in time for the release of:

Jumanji: The Next Level on Friday, December 13

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on Thursday, December 19

The cinema will also offer Starbucks coffee, a Baskin Robbins ice cream counter, Rollover hot dogs and ICEE frozen drinks as well as a membership scheme called Cineworld Unlimited for regular cinema goers and £2.50 kids' screenings on Saturdays, Sundays and school holidays.

The cinema will be open close to The Botanist, the first restaurant confirmed for the development.
