THE renowned nightclub Tokyo Oldham - integral in the formation of the indie band Inspiral Carpets and where Oasis played their early gigs - is reopening at the end of this month.
The club in Roscoe Street has announced on Facebook its launch night will be on Friday, November 29.
It will also be the new home of the live music venue Whittles, which closed in September.
The 480-capacity ground floor will be where well-known bands, local bands, tribute and and up-and-coming bands will perform.
"Tokes", as it was known when it launched in 1997, will open from Fridays to Sundays until 4.30am.
It will also have four rooms of music from indie to house and "much more", said the Facebook post.
