POLICE got more than they bargained for when they pulled over a speeding van, as they discovered more than £50,000 stuffed in bags in the back.
North West Motorway Police said the vehicle was stopped on the M6 southbound by their Roads and Crime Unit for speeding.
The hefty amount of cash was then found and seized for money laundering.
Images released by police showed a mixture of £20, £10 and £5 notes banded together.
