REGIONAL polling figures have been revealed for the first time in the 2019 election campaign.

Last week, YouGov unveiled statistics showing how parties in the North West are doing in the campaign.

The poll, answered by more than 11,000 people was conducted from October 17 to November 4 and gives a comparison between the percentage of people who voted for each party in the 2017 election versus the current percentage of people intending to vote for each party this December.

The poll shows voting intention for the main two parties is down, with the Conservatives experiencing a 3 percent slump from 35 percent of voters voting for them in 2017 to 33 percent.

However, Labour suffered the biggest loss with 55 percent of people voting in 2017 but only 30 percent of people intending to vote for them this year.

The Liberal Democrats have experienced a 12 percent increase from 5 percent of people voting in 2017 to 17 percent.

Meanwhile, the Brexit Party have also experienced a 12 percent increase from 2 percent to 14 percent.

However, it must be noted that Nigel Farage has announced that the Brexit Party will not stand against the Tories in the 317 seats they won in 2017.

Following this announcement, Betway have cut their odds for Conservatives to win an Overall Majority from 5/6 to 1/2 and from 1/10 to 1/16 for the Most Seats.

New figures on how this could impact on voting intentions in the region are expected soon.
