TODAY, is the big day.

Hundreds of kids will be earning their stripes by dressing in yellow for Children In Need.

We are wanting our readers to send in their photographs with their fluffy yellow ears or wearing yellow ties.

Last year, Deacon Kiss and Dakota Kiss, Amelia Kiss (six), Karson Kiss (three) and Eliza Kiss (one) who attended Sudell Primary School and Turncroft Nursery submitted their pictures.

Earlier this week BBC North West news presenters have got up off their famous red sofa this week – and are pushing it through the region for Children in Need.

Roger Johnson, Annabel Tiffin and Owain Wyn Evans were joined by BBC Lancashire's Graham Liver as they kicked off their tour of the North West.
