THE organisation Churches Together in Saddleworth has invited constituency candidates standing in the General Election to a hustings event.
The Election Forum takes place at the Church of St Chad Saddleworth Parish Centre, at the corner of Station Road and Lee Street in Uppermill on Sunday, December 1, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Invitations have gone out to Oldham East and Saddleworth candidates, which include sitting Labour MP Debbie Abrahams, Tom Lord for the Conservatives, local councillor Sam Al-Hamdani who is standing for the Liberal Democrats, Green Party candidate Wendy Olsen and Paul Brierley of the Brexit Party.
Candidates will be asked to answer written question which can be emailed to alisonbrittle@gmail.com with "election" in the sbuject heading, or handed in on arrival no later than 30 minutes before the start of the event.
