A DRIVER was flagged down by the police after middle lane hogging for four miles.
North West Motorway Police pulled over the driver of a white van on the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M60.
The motorist was stopped at about 8pm after "sitting in lane three for four miles", police said.
North West Motorway Police tweeted this afternoon: "Stopped by #ThePictonator last night at 8pm on the M60 anti-clockwise.
"Sat in lane three for four miles from junction 25 Bredbury to Junction 23 Ashton when both lanes one and two were empty.
"TOR issued."
Officers handed the driver a traffic offence report. These are issued by police because they have reason to believe a driver may be committing a road traffic-related offence.
TORs detail a person's name, the offences they are alleged to have committed and state the address of the individual.
