A FAMILY law solicitor is heading up an appeal to ensure domestic abuse victims and their pets do not miss out this Christmas.

Ceri Thomas, of KBL, is urging members of Bolton's business community to back the support service Endeavour.

Charity officials look to ensure domestic violence victims don't lost their treasured pets no matter what the turmoil.

A 'no-one gets left behind' appeal has been launched by Endeavour, seeking gifts for affected families.

Ceri said: "Everyone should have a special gift to open this festive season – whatever their circumstances."

The firm's Mawdsley Street office is acting as a collection point until December 16.

Angela Gray, from the charity, added: "Christmas is a magical time for families but for those affected by domestic abuse it can be a reminder of what they are missing. Santa leaves no-one behind and neither do we."
