The crews attended this morning
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a large fire in a kitchen at a house in Byley Lane, Cranage, today, Monday, at 8.45am.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and a covering jet to extinguish the fire, before using a large fan to clear the smoke from the property.
Crews also isolated the gas and electricity at the address.
One person was treated by paramedics at the scene and went to hospital as a precautionary measure.
Firefighters were at the incident for two hours.
