Formerly a brewery-owned pub called The Top House, The Front House is now a freehouse pub that re-opened in 2012. The landlords of the pub put on eventful weekends for the locals with live acts, DJs and karaoke happening from Friday to Sunday.

The dog-friendly boozer claims to have the 'Best large screen for football and sports in the area.'

2. Milan Bar & Function Venue, Elliot Street

Situated in the heart of Lees in Oldham, Milan bar offers customers a selection of premium wines and cocktails, as well as drinking packages and cocktail classes.

The bar also has a function room connected to the property which can be booked out for Christmas parties and weddings, with a set menu and/or buffets provided.

3. The Railway Hotel, Oldham Road, Royton

The Oldham Times:

Owned by the JW Lees family brewery company, The Railway hotel is a 'great friendly local.' This boozer has live acts performing throughout the week as well as showing live sports and is called “reasonably priced” by the punters.

The town centre pub offers food throughout the day and evening, seven days a week and promises a great atmosphere for drinkers and diners.

4. The Northgate, Sholver Green, Oldham

Purchased from Boddingtons in 1992, the Northgate is a warm and welcoming pub just on the outskirts of Oldham. Recognisable from its appearance on the BBC sitcom Scarborough, the Northgate is a pub with bags of character. It has a cosy lounge area, and large games room where you can play pool or darts.

The Northgate provides all the Joseph Holts award-winning ales and lagers, plus a great gin, rum and wines menu.

Sport is shown throughout the week and there is a food menu. The Northgate has been called a “Great pub, friendly atmosphere recommend it to anyone. excellent staff and made to feel welcome.”

5. Molino Lounge, The Old Town Hall Parliament Square Yorkshire Street, Oldham

Based in the very heart of Oldham, the former police station and town hall has turned into a quirky and creative bar for the community to enjoy.

The bar is filled with paintings and a lovely terrace area outside and is highly recommend by drinkers as there is “No competition in Oldham that offers such a friendly welcome.” The Molino Lounge won the Certificate of Excellence for 2018 to 2019.

6. The Greyhound Inn, Holden Fold Lane, Oldham

Another pub owned by the JW Lees brewery company, The Greyhound is a local family pub close to Oldham Athletic Football Stadium Boundary Park. It is a dog-friendly pub that also has a children’s play area in the beer garden so it’s fun for the whole family.
