The driver of an Audi A5 convertible has been caught driving along the hard shoulder of a West Yorkshire motorway as other motorists crawled along in heavy traffic.
Police said a fine and points on the driver's licence were likely to result from the incident on the M621.
A picture issued by the Roads Policing Unit shows that the vehicle was pulled over near the point where drivers can choose whether to go towards Manchester and Bradford on the M62 or keep left for the A62 (A650) towards Bradford (East).
The Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "M621 - Driver of this one decided they didn’t want to wait in slow moving traffic like everyone else and decided to drive down the hard shoulder to exit the motorway. TOR issued with points and a fine likely to follow."
A member of the public, commenting on Twitter, responded: "See it most days, usually Audi’s,VW’s, BMW’s etc ."
