A MAN has suffered multiple serious injuries after falling from Morrison carpark in Blackburn.

Police, paramedics and the air ambulance have all been called to the scene.

The man was taken to Royal Preston with hospital with what the ambulance described as serious injuries, Police said the man was found on the ground floor with multiple injuries and they are now investigating the circumstances of the fall.

Police have cordoned off a section of the ground floor of the carpark, while the top floor is also closed.

An ambulance service spokesman said they had said 'a number of resources to the incident, including two rapid response vehicles, an ambulance and an operational commander.

The spokesperson said: "The air ambulance was called but it was stood down. We have treated a patient and taken them to hospital."

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 2pm to reports a man has come off the top of the carpark at Morrisons. He has been taken him to Royal Preston Hospital. He has suffered multiple injuries."

One shopper said: "The middle section has been closed off and there's police everywhere.

"I hope the person is okay.

"It doesn't look good at all."

Another shopper said: "I can't believe this has happened."
