THERE will be a free talk about tinnitus at Prestwich Library in the Longfield Centre on Monday February 4.
It will last an hour from 2pm to 3pm.
It coincides with Tinnitus Awareness Week from February 3 to 9.
The condition is the sensation of hearing a sound in the absence of any external sound.
Symptoms of tinnitus include hearing different types of sound, for example, ringing, whooshing or humming or buzzing in the ear. These can be continuous or they can come and go.
The talk will be given by Bury’s Audiology Service. Feb).
This year the British Tinnitus Association is focusing the awareness week on research and the importance of trying to find a cure.
