A POPULAR Chinese restaurant in Grappenhall hosted 60 schoolchildren to learn about Chinese culture.
To celebrate Chinese New Year, the Choy Hing Village asked pupils and teachers from St Wilfrid's CofE Primary School to visit for a day of learning and tasting.
The youngsters got the chance to learn about Chinese traditions, look at decorations and Chinese lanterns and try some cuisine before returning to school with some chopsticks and horoscopes.
Kieng Tang, owner of the Choi Hing Village, said: "I am delighted to be able to give the children an insight into Chinese traditions.
"They tried some noodles, spring rolls and fried rice and we spoke about Chinese New Year, which happened on Saturday."
