FORECASTERS have warned of snow and ice set to hit the UK this week and the worst of it will be coming today (Tuesday).
In Bolton, the Met Office says temperatures could hit lows of 0°C throughout the day, with gusts of up to 30mph set to make it feel like -3°C.
Residents have been warned to expect icy conditions throughout the day which could affect travel.
There is also a high likelihood of rain which could turn into snow, especially in the morning.
For the rest of the week the chances of it snowing will be significantly reduced and chilly temperatures will give way to slightly warmer conditions.
However, there is still a strong possibility of rain, especially on Wednesday afternoon.
