A woman was forced to the ground and her car stolen during a robbery in Oldham.

Police are now appealing for information after the White BMW was taken from Huddersfield Road in the town.

At around 7.30pm on Tuesday two men approached a woman who had just stepped out of a White BMW and forced her to the ground.

The men took the woman’s keys, got into the vehicle and drove off towards Uppermill.

The woman suffered minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.

No arrests have been made but enquiries are ongoing.

Police Constable Mohammad Ali of the Oldham district said: “This was a violent incident which has left an innocent woman injured and clearly traumatised by the robbery.

"We are asking anyone who has dash-cam footage or CCTV of the incident on Huddersfield Road on Tuesday January 28 to contact police as soon as possible.

"Any information could be invaluable and greatly assist with our enquiries.

“I would also ask anyone who was on Huddersfield Road or in Uppermill at the time of the incident and saw anything usual or suspicious, no matter how small, to contact police as soon as possible.”
