North West Motorway Police received an unusual call earlier today about the behaviour of a passenger.
The man was in a car travelling on the M56 near Bowdon when police were alerted to his behaviour.
He was trying to open the car door whilst it was moving.
When officers stopped the vehicle, the man was arrested for drunk and disorderly conduct.
There were no injuries or accidents as a result of his behaviour
