ROADWORKS on a Bolton road are due to last more than 1000 years – according to official town hall documents.

The gaffe appears on Bolton Council’s latest roadworks bulletin.

Slackey Brow closed last week for the National Grid to carry out pylon work – but the job is scheduled to finish on March 16, 3030 – more than 1010 years away.

But regular users of the road need not panic.

Bolton Council has confirmed that the printed end date is an error – and is set to be amended to March 16 2020.
