A CHADDERTON man who assaulted a man and a woman by beating in London in 2018 has now been given a 20-week prison sentence suspended for two years after failing to turn up for unpaid work by order of a court.
Billy James Arthur Dempsey, 31, of Cartmel Crescent failed to comply with a community order made by Highbury Magistrates' Court on January 31, 2019, but missing appointments for unpaid work on November 11 and December 15.
At Tameside Magistrates' Court on Friday (February 21) he was dealt with for his original offence. He must also pay £150 costs.
